The musical tells the story of Billy, a young boy from a coal mining town in northern England, who discovers his passion for ballet and pursues his dream of becoming a professional dancer. Along the way, he faces the challenges of his family’s financial struggles, his father’s opposition, and the social stigma of being a male ballet dancer.
